Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By accepting a quotation, signing up to a treatment plan, or making payment, you agree to these Terms of Business.

1. About Us

This agreement is between Woods Lawns Ltd ("we", "us", "our") and the Customer ("you", "your"). By accepting a quotation, signing up to a treatment plan, or making payment, you agree to these Terms of Business.

2. Services

We provide lawn treatment services including, but not limited to:

  • Fertiliser applications
  • Weed control treatments
  • Moss control treatments
  • Aeration
  • Scarification
  • Over-seeding
  • Pest management
  • Disease management
  • Soil improvement treatments
  • Lawn health assessments

All services will be carried out using professional products and methods appropriate to the condition of the lawn.

3. Treatment Plans

Customers may subscribe to one of the following plans:

Essential Plan

Scheduled lawn treatments throughout the year designed to maintain lawn health and appearance.

Premium Plan

Includes all Essential Plan treatments plus yearly scarification, aeration and over-seeding.

Elite Plan

Includes all Premium Plan services plus yearly top dressing, pest control and verti-cutting.

The exact services included within each plan may be updated from time to time and will be detailed in your quotation or service schedule.

4. Monthly Payments

Where a customer joins a monthly payment plan:

  • Payments are collected by Direct Debit.
  • Monthly payments spread the annual cost of the agreed services over 12 months.
  • Payments are due regardless of the seasonal timing of visits.
  • Missed or cancelled payments may result in suspension of services.

4.1 Early Termination Charges

Our lawn treatment programmes are designed as annual treatment plans, with costs spread evenly across the year. Where a customer terminates their agreement before the end of the initial 12-month term, we reserve the right to recover the value of treatments, products, labour and services already supplied that have not been fully covered by payments received.

5. Additional Services

Services outside your chosen plan may be recommended from time to time. Examples include:

  • Scarification
  • Aeration
  • Over-seeding
  • Pest treatments
  • Disease treatments
  • Turf repairs

These services will be quoted separately and will only be carried out with your approval.

6. Access to the Property

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the lawn on the scheduled treatment day. If access is unavailable:

  • We reserve the right to rearrange the visit.
  • Repeated failed access attempts may incur an additional charge.

7. Weather and Scheduling

Lawn treatments are weather dependent. We may rearrange visits due to: heavy rain, drought conditions, frost, snow, or unsafe working conditions. Mild to moderate rain is generally acceptable provided ground conditions are safe and effective application is not compromised.

Any delayed treatments will be rescheduled as soon as reasonably possible.

BioQuench treatments may be applied during drought or pre-drought conditions where appropriate, to support lawn health and stress tolerance during periods of limited rainfall.

8. Results

While we use professional products and techniques, lawn care is affected by factors beyond our control including: weather, soil conditions, pet damage, shade, drainage issues, customer maintenance practices, pests and disease.

Accordingly, we cannot guarantee specific results.

9. Customer Responsibilities

To achieve the best results, customers agree to:

  • Follow aftercare advice provided.
  • Water newly seeded or treated areas when recommended.
  • Inform us of any underground irrigation systems, ponds, pets, or sensitive areas.
  • Notify us of any concerns as soon as reasonably possible.

10. Minimum Term and Cancellation

Monthly Payment Plans

All Essential, Premium and Elite Plans are subject to a minimum 12-month agreement. The monthly Direct Debit spreads the annual cost over 12 months and does not directly correspond to the timing or value of individual visits.

If you choose to cancel within the first 12 months, we reserve the right to invoice for the difference between the value of services already provided at our standard rates and the total payments received to date. Any outstanding balance will become payable within 14 days of the invoice date.

Following completion of the initial 12-month term, your agreement will continue on a rolling monthly basis unless cancelled by either party with 30 days' written notice. Direct Debit payments must remain active throughout the minimum term.

One-Off Services

One-off services may be cancelled without charge provided at least 48 hours' notice is given. Where less than 48 hours' notice is provided, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed service value.

11. Annual Price Reviews

We reserve the right to review pricing annually. Customers will be notified in advance of any changes.

12. Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the services supplied. We shall not be liable for indirect losses, consequential losses, existing lawn conditions, or damage resulting from customer failure to follow aftercare instructions.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.

13. Complaints

Any concerns regarding our services should be raised within 14 days of the treatment visit. We will investigate and, where appropriate, provide remedial action.

14. Data Protection

Customer information will be stored securely and used only for providing services, billing, and customer communications. We will not sell customer information to third parties.

15. Acceptance

By accepting a quotation, signing a service agreement, or making payment, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms of Business.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your sign-up will apply to your agreement unless we notify you otherwise.
